Review: Jawsome Sharks Event at SEA LIFE Sanctuary with Play-Doh

Sea Life has a new event, Jawsome Sharks, and we were invited to Sea Life Hunstanton to see what the event was about. We often visit the Sea Life Sanctuary at Hunstanton so know it well!

Becoming A Jawsome Shark Ranger

The mission is to find the teeth that Professor Finn has lost! The trail sheet has a picture of the lost teeth with their names; so it is simply a matter of finding them, identifying them and adding the name to the list.

Finding the Teeth

There are 5 teeth to find, hidden in tanks around the venue.  There are stickers indicating there is a tooth in that tank to help you.

The teeth themselves are fairly big and colourful so they are relatively easy to find.

Once you have found the tooth in the tank you reference it with the pictures of teeth you have to find the name and write it down on your sheet.

Once you have found all 5 teeth and named them, you hand your sheet in at reception and your prize is a tub of play-doh. If you want a certificate you have to mention it to the staff to sign it for you…we forgot and didn’t get it signed as they didn’t remind us either.

What did we think?

Finding the teeth didn’t really take long. The event itself probably took less than 20 minutes but as it is the Sea Life Centre you can spend longer there, taking a look at all the sea life and listening to talks.

Bee enjoyed walking around looking for the teeth and even the eldest (at almost 13) got involved to look for them and write the names down. I believe that at some venues there is an area where you can play with Play-Doh and learn more about sharks but there didn’t appear to be anything like this at Hunstanton (unless we somehow missed it).
