I am so pleased that the weather finally seems to be improving. As that means we can get out and about more! One of the things that we need to think about when it comes to days out is snacks! I don’t want to be packing unhealthy things all the time for the children, but look for healthier snacks that are convenient and don’t make too much mess.
So when I heard about the Petits Filous pouches I was pleased to be able to try them.
Sometimes I have issues with purchasing yoghurts and fromage frais as a lot of them aren’t suitable for vegetarians as they contain gelatine. But these pouches are suitable for vegetarians which is of course a bonus for us.
What is also great about these pouches is that they have a ‘Goodness Guarantee:’
- No articificial colours, flavours or sweeteners
- No added preservatives
- Calcium and Vitamin D for strong bones
The pouches are available in Strawberry, Raspberry and Apricot flavour and are priced at 79p. The only downside is that they don’t seem to be available in a pack and they do seem a bit pricey for just one.
So what did we think?
We decided to go to a local festival to give the pouches a test. Bee of course had a busy time at the festival, rushing around, climbing and jumping so by the end of it was ready to sit down, have a break and try out a pouch.
The pouches are just the right size for Bee to handle and her official verdict was ‘yummy’. What is also great about them is that the cap is resealable so if she doesn’t finish it in one go it can be put away for later. The actual consistency of them is ideal for her to be able to suck from the pouch easily. The size is also just right to put them in your handbag if you aren’t taking a full picnic with you.
The pouches are also great for older children. Munchkin was happy for a pouch to be put in her lunchbox for school and has already taken a few with her to school. So a win win all around, and thumbs up from both girls.
